    Indigo offers 25% discount for doctors and nurses under “Tough Cookie”

    Indigo announced offers to thank the Covid Warriors; i.e. the doctors , nurses and all the medical staff who are fighting this battle every day at the front. On Thursday itself, the company announced a 25% discount to doctors and nurses.




    The doctors and all the medical staff can have this offer availed by the end of 2020. In order to have this offer availed, doctors or any of the medical staff travelling have to show their medical license first. Indigo took this step in order to give their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals; and, hence, offering a 25% discount offer. This medical license will serve as your identity proof.

    What is Tough Cookie Scheme?

    Indigo has named this scheme as “Tough Cookie”; the company will track this campaign to make it special for the medical professionals by giving good offers. They will get cookie tin as complimentary during check-in, PPE kits having Tough Special Cookie sticker; alongside a warm welcome announcement.




    Indigo offers will be offered while booking through IndiGo website, valid for sale and travel from 1 July, 2020 till 31 December, 2020

    Strikingly, as the COVID-19 widespread has taken over the world; making it a worldwide panic circumstance. Specialists, experts, professionals medical caretakers, restorative staff, and other cutting edge specialists are bravely battling to prevent the spread of the disease.

    Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Civil Aviation Minister said that there were a total of 71,471 passengers; who traveled on July 1 in 785 flights. Thus, making an average of 91 passengers per flight. A320 flights have around 180 seating capacity; and only 50% of it is utilized, as per the numbers on July 1.




    As per the aviation consultancy Capa, the domestic flight or aviation industry is anticipated to bring about misfortunes of $3.0 billion to $3.6 billion in the June quarter; due to the confinements and decreasing travel craving because of the pandemic.

    However, the international flights are still said to be suspended till 31 July 2020 till further official notice. On Thursday, India has crossed 7 lakhs cases which have taken them to 3rd position globally.
