In just six days, Sitaare Zameen Par has become the 8th highest-grossing film of the year. It is now only ₹8 crore away from surpassing Jaat, which collected ₹90.34 crore. With current momentum, the film is expected to cross that mark on Thursday, potentially jumping to 7th position on the top earners list.
Budget Recovery Status
The film was reportedly made on a budget of ₹90 crore. With a collection of over ₹82 crore in just six days, it has already recovered around 91% of its cost. At this pace, it is expected to recover its full budget by second Friday and be officially declared a success.
However, for Sitaare Zameen Par to be termed a “hit”, it must achieve a lifetime collection of ₹180 crore or more.
