Operation Mayfair Movie Review: Jimmy Shergill's Investigative Thriller is Placid

Operation Mayfair Review

Operation Mayfair directed by Sudipto Sarkar is a pale suspenseful investigative drama that will let you complete your side quests while watching the movie. The thriller moves at a very slow pace which sucks up all the fun that the film could potentially offer.

It tries to get you to care about the serial killer who is haunting the streets of London but it takes too much time in developing the entire gambit that the viewers have to watch. Operation Mayfair takes its liberty in setting the stage and ignores what a viewer may fee while watching the mundane events that have been repeated in countless murder mysteries over the years.

It offers nothing new and you can easily skip watching it in the theatres. Operation Mayfair released an interesting trailer made us keep our hopes high for this thrilling drama. However, the film falls completely flat on its premise and there is nothing except Jimmy Shergill to praise.

Jimmy Shergill almost delivers everytime with his screen presence. He is brilliant but in Operation Mayfair but the storyline does not do his character justice. It could have been a much better film if it was done in a crisp manner. Sudipto Sarkar could have avoided a few things to make the film a bit more smaller in length.

Overall, Operation Mayfair brings nothing that you have not seen already.
