This year, get ready to watch the spectacular 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting from April 9 to May 30. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is looking confident to host the tournament in India this year even though due to the on-going pandemic. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be battling against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening match of the season. BCCI has decided to host the matches in India across six cities namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.



It has been confirmed by the board that the arrangements for health safety have been taken care of by all the players and they don’t have to travel much except only three times during the league stage. In order to eliminate home advantage and biasedness, BCCI gave its statement after reaching a final conclusion that all the eight teams will play only on 4 venues out of six, except their home ground.

The ads went viral as M.S Dhoni got featured in one of the advertisements who has been dressed up as a monk with a bald hairstyle.

In the first advertisements, MS Dhoni in IPL ad could be seen dressed-up like a monk who is narrating a tale of ‘Hitman’ (Rohit Sharma) who won five IPL winning titles. Here Dhoni is seen teaching his disciples that being greedy is nice and waits to see if Mumbai Indians can add another title to their name.

Through this advertisement, VIVOIPL wanted to raise the spirit for the new season in die-hard fans of cricket. And Star Sports released this year’s IPL advertisement on its Twitter account, “VIVOIPL salutes the new Indian spirit that is eager to innovate and rewrite the rulebook. MS Dhoni  in IPL second advertisement is dressed up like a pole-man and starts praising Virat Kohli who used aggression as his great weapon to be called ‘A King’. Later Dhoni was seen consulting that if aggression helps in bringing victory then there is no harm in it. The last clipping of the advertisement raised the question of whether the ‘King’ will be able to bring the title to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
