Mark Antony is estimated to be made on a budget of around Rs 30 Crores. In September 2021, reports surfaced about Vishal joining forces with director Adhik Ravichandran for an upcoming film produced by S. Vinod Kumar’s Mini Studio. By December, the project was officially confirmed under the tentative title Vishal 33.
During the same month, it was revealed that S. J. Suryah would take on the primary antagonist role in the movie, and this confirmation coincided with the announcement of the film’s title, Mark Antony, on New Year’s Day.
