Leo, also known as Leo: Bloody Sweet, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film has a budget ranging from ₹250 to ₹300 crore, and initially, Vijay was reported to receive ₹120 crore (US$15 million) as his remuneration. However, he decided to opt for a revenue-sharing model to support the film’s production. Under this arrangement, he would receive ₹50 crore (US$6.3 million) as an advance, and a significant portion of his earnings would come from a share of the film’s profits.

   

Initially, Vijay had reservations about making Leo a pan-Indian film, as he wanted to prioritize the satisfaction of the Tamil audience. However, he eventually changed his stance after being convinced by Lalit and Jagadish. Some modifications were also made to the original story to make the film more appealing to a wider audience.

In August 2023, it was confirmed that the film would be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, as the makers of Leo had obtained a no objection certificate from the producers of the franchise’s previous films.

Leo is expected to earn more than Rs 400 Crore in India. The film is expected to gross Rs 500 Crore worldwide. The overall box office collection of Leo from its primary Tamil version is expected to be around Rs 300 Crore. The film is expected to be a box office behemoth.
