Krystle D’Souza has been a familiar face on Indian television for close to two decades now. Known for her expressive acting and her long list of popular TV shows, she has built a solid career in the Hindi entertainment industry, and along the way she also picked up several awards for her work.
Early Life and Education
Krystle was born on March 1, 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a Christian family. She has always described herself as deeply religious and someone who leans on her faith quite a bit.
She did her schooling at Auxilium Convent High School in Wadala, Mumbai, and later went on to study at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. Interestingly, her interest in acting actually took shape during her college days itself, and that early spark eventually led her toward television.
She has a brother named Keith D’Souza, though details about her parents haven’t really been made public over the years.
Career Beginnings
Krystle stepped into the acting world in 2007 with the show Kahe Naa Kahe, where she played the character Kinjal Pandey. Not long after, she appeared in Kya Dill Mein Hai as Tamanna.
In 2008, she kept herself busy with two more shows on Star Plus, playing Navneet in Kasturi and Veera in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Then in 2010, she joined Sony TV’s Baat Hamari Pakki Hai as Tara, and also made a brief cameo appearance in the show Aahat that same year.
The Big Breakthrough
Krystle’s real breakthrough came in 2011 when she landed the role of Jeevika Singh Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, opposite Karan Tacker. This show turned out to be a major turning point in her career and ran until September 2013, giving her the kind of recognition that most TV actors dream of.
Riding on that success, she signed on for Sony TV’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan in December 2013, playing Sakshi opposite Karan Sharma. That show wrapped up in September 2014.
Later TV Projects
After a short gap, Krystle made her comeback to television in 2016 with Ekta Kapoor’s Brahmarakshas on Zee TV, where she played Raina Sharma Shrivastava. The show ran until February 2017.
In 2018, she took on the role of Roopa Awasthi in Colors TV’s Belan Wali Bahu, and this performance actually won her the Gold Award for Best Actress in a Comic Role, one of the bigger recognitions of her career.
Moving Into Web and Films
Like many television actors of her generation, Krystle eventually expanded beyond the small screen. In 2019, she made her digital debut with ALT Balaji’s Fittrat, stepping into a completely different kind of role for the streaming audience.
She also made her Hindi film debut with Chehre in 2021, sharing the screen with a solid ensemble cast. This marked an important shift in her career, showing that she was ready to explore mediums beyond television.
Recognition and Popularity
Krystle has featured multiple times on lists that track popularity and public appeal. Back in 2013, Eastern Eye ranked her among the 50 Sexiest Asian Women. She also appeared on the Times Most Desirable Women on Television list more than once, coming in at fifth place in both 2017 and 2018, and fifteenth in 2019.
Over the years, she also appeared as a performer at events like the Mirchi Top 20 alongside Karan Tacker, and walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week in February 2017.
Awards
Krystle has received a fair share of recognition for her acting work. She has won an ITA Award and two Gold Awards over the course of her career, including the Best Actress in a Comic Role award for Belan Wali Bahu in 2018.

Personal Life
Krystle keeps a lot of her personal life away from the media glare, though she has been linked with actor Karan Tacker for a long time, largely because of their off-screen chemistry and the popularity of their on-screen pairing in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. As of now, she remains unmarried.
She enjoys dancing and travelling in her free time. In July 2024, she was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate as part of a money laundering investigation, alongside fellow actors Nia Sharma and Karan Wahi, reportedly connected to unlawful online forex trading through overseas brokers.
