Kia introduced the all-new EV9 electric SUV in the global market last year. Now the company has announced its launch date in India. The sale of this e-SUV is going to start in the Indian market from October 3, 2024 and Kia will bring its fully loaded GT-Line variant. This will be the second SUV of Kia India to be launched in the country after EV6. This new electric SUV will be loaded with AWD system and all the features of the top model and the highest range battery pack. Apart from this, the company is also going to launch the new generation Carnival premium MPV in the Indian market.
Kia has informed that the new EV9 electric SUV can be driven up to 541 km on a single charge. It will have a 150 kW electric motor which takes it from 0-100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. It can be driven up to 239 km on just 15 minutes of charging, that is, it will be equipped with an ultra-fast speed charger. If we look at the features, the new EV9 will get Level 3 ADAS which will cover 360 degree view with the help of many sensors and two lidars, radar and camera.
Kia EV9 has emerged as a strong electric SUV in terms of design and style. While showcasing the new electric SUV, Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design Center, said that this electric SUV is a unique combination of design, connectivity, usability and environmental responsibility. He further said that EV9 is going to give customers a high quality and fresh EV experience and it will be a strong option for the family.

While Kia has given the exterior of EV9 a completely futuristic look, its cabin has been designed without any frills. The e-SUV has got a digital pattern lighting grille surrounded by very attractive headlamps. Here the company’s signature digital tiger face has been given to the SUV which is completed with two small cube lamps. Overall, this is a great SUV with which Kia is going to create a stir in the Indian EV segment.
