According to early reports, on Sunday — the fourth day — the film earned ₹50.37 crore so far. The collection is expected to rise further by the end of the night. On Saturday, it had collected ₹55 crore.

What’s the Story of the Film?
Kantara 2 begins exactly where the previous part ended. A child asks a question, and in response, he is told a mythical story. The plot is set during the Kadamba dynasty. On one side are the devotees of Lord Shiva living in Kantara village within God’s sacred forest, and on the other side is King Vijendra’s (Jayaram) Bangra Empire. King Vijendra’s grandfather once tried to seize God’s forest, but the divine force stopped him. The story revolves around this conflict.
