“Kalki 2898 AD” has entered its fourth weekend at the box office, amassing nearly Rs 600 crore nett in India by the end of its third week. The film, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, continued to perform well, with the third Thursday adding Rs 2.75 crore to bring the domestic total to Rs 599.20 crore.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film had a strong showing in both the Telugu and Hindi markets. Of the Rs 599.20 crore, approximately Rs 271 crore came from the Telugu market, while the Hindi belt contributed around Rs 265 crore in 22 days.

Now in its fourth weekend, “Kalki 2898 AD” faces tough competition from “Bad Newz” at the box office, particularly in the Hindi market. The new Bollywood release, starring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, has received positive reviews on social media and is expected to share screens with the science-fiction drama in the North, which might affect “Kalki’s” performance in multiplexes.

Neither “Indian 2” nor “Sarfira,” which were released last weekend, impacted “Kalki’s” performance significantly. However, the release of “Bad Newz” appears to be a game-changer.
Meanwhile, “Kalki 2898 AD” is anticipated to be released online after completing its 10-week run in theaters. Various media reports suggest that the film will be available on an OTT platform only after it has spent at least 10 weeks at the box office.
