If you grew up watching Victorious, here is some happy news. Trina Vega is coming back, and this time she is the one standing at the front of the classroom. Hollywood Arts, a sequel and spin-off to the original Nickelodeon hit, premieres on Netflix on October 15, 2026.
Release Date and Where to Watch
The first 13 episodes of Hollywood Arts arrive on Netflix on October 15. Netflix is the first home for the series. It is also planned for Nickelodeon and Paramount+, but those release dates have not been shared yet. Since the show is a multi-camera sitcom, expect short, fast episodes that are easy to binge.
What Is the Show About?
Trina Vega is a struggling actress who has never quite gotten her big break. Out of options, she returns to her old school, Hollywood Arts, as a substitute teacher. The problem is that she is not qualified for the job. She clashes with a new generation of ambitious, eccentric students, but she also ends up inspiring them in her own odd way.
That setup is a smart fit for Trina. In Victorious, she was loud, confident, and sure she was a star, even when the world disagreed. Putting her in charge of young performers lets the show keep that humor while giving her a chance to grow.
The Cast
Daniella Monet leads the series and also serves as an executive producer. She is joined by a fresh group of young actors playing the students.
| Actor | Role |
|---|---|
| Daniella Monet | Trina Vega |
| Alyssa Miles | Emmy |
| Peyton Jackson | Qwest |
| Martin Kamm | Oscar |
| Emmy Liu-Wang | Pepper |
| Erika Swayze | Jen Z |
Yvette Nicole Brown appears in a recurring role as Principal Helen Dubois. There are also some familiar faces for longtime fans. Eric Lange returns as Erwin Sikowitz, and Matt Bennett is back as Robbie Shapiro. Jake Farrow brings back the voice of Rex Powers, the famously rude puppet. Kira Kosarin, Taylen Biggs, Lexi Rivera and Sofie Dossi are also listed as guest stars, though their roles have not been revealed.
Who Is Behind It?
The series was developed and is run by Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin. The executive producers include Farrow, Martin, Monet and Jonathan Judge. Richard Bullock and Don Dunn are the producers, and the show comes from Quick to Judge and Paramount Television Studios.
It was filmed in Burnaby, British Columbia. The opening theme is called “Here to Stay” and is performed by Alyssa Miles, one of the new cast members.
The original Victorious was created by Dan Schneider and ran from 2010 to 2013. It later led to Sam & Cat, which ran in 2013 and 2014, so this is another step in a long-running universe.
Why Fans Should Care
Spin-offs can be risky, but this one has a few things going for it. Monet is back in her best-known role, several original characters are returning as guests, and the school setting gives the writers a lot of room for music, drama, and chaos. At the same time, the new students give younger viewers someone to follow.
Should You Watch It?
If you loved the original show, this is an easy yes. If you never watched Victorious, the premise is simple enough to enjoy on its own. Go in expecting a light, silly sitcom, not a heavy drama.
If you are planning more weekend viewing, there are some very different options. The Diplomat Season 4 brings a tense political story with Kate Wyler’s marriage falling apart.
And if you want something long enough to last for weeks, Kappi Squad on JioHotstar is a 100-episode Malayalam series that looks like a big binge.
Hollywood Arts premieres on Netflix on October 15, 2026.
