‘Dhurandhar’ has been roaring in cinemas right from its release day. The film tells the story of a dark and dangerous corridor of Pakistan, where the underworld, terrorism, and dirty politics collide. Drawing inspiration from incidents ranging from the Kandahar hijack to India’s retaliation after the Parliament attack, the film presents a gripping narrative of revenge and covert operations.
After a major terrorist attack on India, IB Chief Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan) wants to give a fitting reply. However, due to political and bureaucratic hurdles, he is initially unable to act. Following the attack on Parliament, the government finally gives approval for ‘Operation Dhurandhar’, under which Hamza (Ranveer Singh) is chosen as an undercover agent.
Hamza’s Dangerous Mission Inside Pakistan
Hamza infiltrates Pakistan via Afghanistan. Once there, he gets close to Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna), a feared and notorious gangster of the Baloch community, through Mohammed Alam (Gaurav Gera). Soon after arriving, Hamza saves the life of Rehman Daku’s son, which earns him the gangster’s trust. Gradually, Hamza begins handling Rehman’s key operations from within.
