This Friday, Kesari 2 entered theatres to compete with films like Jaat, Good Bad Ugly, and Odela 2. Starring Akshay Kumar, the film is based on the events that followed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Although it didn’t open with a strong performance on its first day, the film witnessed growth on its second day. Here’s how the film and its competitors performed at the box office on Saturday:
Kesari 2: Kesari Chapter 2 was released on 18 April. Based on the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the film earned ₹7.75 crore on its opening day—lower than expected. However, it picked up momentum on Saturday and collected ₹9.50 crore. So far, the film has earned a total of ₹17.25 crore.
Good Bad Ugly: Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly hit theatres on 10 April. On its 10th day, the film collected ₹5.75 crore. In its first week, the movie had already raked in ₹119.15 crore. Its total box office collection now stands at ₹130.65 crore.

Jaat: Sunny Deol’s Jaat has been maintaining a steady pace at the box office for the past few days, hovering around the ₹4 crore mark. On Saturday, it collected ₹3.75 crore. The weekend hasn’t provided a significant boost. So far, the film has collected ₹69.40 crore.
Odela 2: Tamannaah Bhatia’s Odela 2 has been in theatres for three days but is struggling at the box office. It earned ₹85 lakh on Day 1, which dropped to ₹71 lakh on Day 2. On Saturday, the collection further declined to ₹54 lakh. The total box office collection now stands at ₹2.1 crore.
