The new season of Bigg Boss is all set to return, and exciting details have emerged about the contestants, premiere date, and Salman Khan’s fee.
Bigg Boss 19 Premiere Date
The premiere of Bigg Boss 19 is scheduled for 30th August. This season is expected to be the longest one so far.
Salman Khan’s Fee for Bigg Boss 19
According to sources, Salman Khan’s estimated fee for this season is between ₹120 to ₹150 crore. The actor will host the show for 15 weeks, reportedly charging around ₹8 to ₹10 crore per weekend. The show will stream first on OTT and will be re-telecast on TV the same day. It is being considered an extension of the OTT version.
Previously, Salman had charged ₹96 crore for Bigg Boss OTT 2, while his fee for Bigg Boss 18 was around ₹250 crore and for Bigg Boss 17, about ₹200 crore. So, his fee for this season is higher than his OTT version but lower than previous TV seasons. Apart from Salman, other hosts will also join the show later.
Bigg Boss 19 Digital Format and Theme
This season will follow a digital-first format and will be titled Bigg Boss 19. The makers are also planning to add a tagline to match the digital version’s identity.
Bigg Boss 19 Duration, Hosts, and Platforms
The show will run for five months. Salman Khan will host the first three months, after which guest hosts like Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor may take over in the last t wo months. The premiere will be on JioCinema (JioHotstar) on 30th August, with episodes streaming on OTT first, and airing on Colors TV about 90 minutes later.
