Netflix Fubar Review: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Debut Series is Highly Entertaining

Netflix Fubar Review: Arnold Schwarzenegger hits home run in his debut web series. Fubar is a messy and entertaining dramedy that will keep you engaged and interested. Even though the concept is nothing new but the cast and characters involved are a delight to watch in Fubar.

    Netflix Fubar Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 4/5

Netflix Fubar Story: In his role as CIA agent Luke Brunner, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, he hides his work from his loved ones, including his brilliant daughter Emma (played by Monica Barbaro). In preparation for his impending retirement, Luke wants to find a new home, spend more time with his family, and possibly win Tally (Fabiana Udenio) back. Luke’s plans to retire are sadly put on hold when he is asked to take part in one final mission that involves the dangerous arms dealer Boro (Gabriel Luna) and returning an agent to the United States.

Luke is shocked to discover that the agent he is supposed to bring home is actually Emma, who, like him, is hiding her work as a CIA agent from everyone she cares about. Luke and Emma must reluctantly work together on this mission that puts the lives of everyone they care about in danger, but first they must learn to stop fighting and start getting along.

    Netflix Fubar Review

Luke confidently drives through alleyways, smokes comically large cigars, and engages a gang of dangerous criminals in a thrilling action scene in Antwerp, Belgium, as his longtime partner Barry (Milan Carter) converses with him through an earpiece in the opening scene of FUBAR.

It’s a quick and simple way to introduce viewers to the show before it jumps right into the drama involving Luke and his family, which gradually takes over the entire series. FUBAR is highly entertaining because of the almost perfect amalgamation of comedy and action.

The best episodes of the show are those that concentrate more on Luke, Emma, and their CIA team on perilous missions. As the show’s comic relief, Carter, Fortune Feimster, and Travis Van Winkle all perform admirably. Particularly Feimster stands out as Roo, a CIA agent who has always looked up to Luke as a father figure.

FUBAR falters whenever the series decides to delve too much into the emotions and relationships. The show is at its best with action and comedy and thankfully the larger part of the series is concerned with that.
