Some films take a long road to reach viewers. Nooru Kodi Vaanavil took a very long one. The Tamil romantic drama, starring Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani, finally premieres on November 6, 2026, as a Diwali release, and it skips theatres completely.
Nooru Kodi Vaanavil Release Date and How to Watch
The film streams on ZEE5 Global from November 6 through a pay-per-view model, so you buy access to watch it. Zee Entertainment says the plan is to reach Tamil viewers in North America and other supported regions. The sources do not say if it will be available in India or what it will cost, so check the ZEE5 listing for your region.
What Is the Story About?
Sasi wrote and directed the film. It is about love, changing expectations, and the choices that shape a relationship. Two people deal with personal dilemmas while the people around them influence their decisions. Harish Kalyan plays Vino.
Sasi says he wanted to show how relationships change as people grow older and face hard situations. Harish says the film goes beyond usual romance by looking at how priorities shift with time. Siddhi Idnani says it shows relationships realistically and humanly.
Why Did It Skip Theatres?
Fans have asked this ever since the date was announced. Sasi told Behindwoods that the reasons cannot be mentioned or avoided. He added that the decision did not come from the creative side, and the production side felt OTT would give better results.
Harish said every project is like a baby, and when it does not reach audiences, it causes the makers a lot of pain. So the team is simply happy it is finally releasing. He also said OTT is booming, and he sees it as no less than theatres.
A Very Long Wait
According to Cinema Express, the film began in 2019, and its release was delayed by seven years. Harish says he shot it even before parking, but work stopped during COVID. The Goa schedule was finished, while the Mumbai portion stayed pending. Other reasons delayed the release further.

Siddhu Kumar composed the music, with lyrics by Mohan Rajan and Vignesh Ramakrishna. Prasanna S Kumar handled cinematography, M Subarak edited, and E Thiyagarajan led art direction. Balaji Kapa produced under Madhav Media, along with Arun Arunachalam under his own banner.
Should You Watch It?
If you like gentle, relationship-driven stories and Sasi’s past work, this could be a good Diwali pick. The long delay does not say anything about the quality, since the sources explain it through COVID and release plans. Go in expecting a human drama, not a big commercial entertainer.
