Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also called as Dhurandhar 2, is now heading to OTT platforms after a massive run at the box office. But here’s the catch — Indian fans will have to hold on for nearly three weeks before they can stream it at home.
What’s the big deal about this OTT release?
This isn’t just a regular digital drop. For the first time, Indian audiences will get to watch the raw and uncut version of the film — something that was not shown in theatres. The theatrical cut had several scenes trimmed down, so the OTT version will be a fresh and more intense experience for fans.
When can global audiences watch it?
People outside India can already stream the film on Netflix starting May 14–15, 2026, depending on their time zone. Internationally, it is listed as Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw & Undekha) or Raw & Unseen, making it clear that this is the full, unfiltered version.
Netflix also put together a special 30-minute pre-show for the premiere, featuring cast conversations, behind-the-scenes footage, and fun stories from the making of the film.
Why do Indian viewers have to wait?
In India, the streaming rights are with JioHotstar, not Netflix. And right now, JioHotstar is fully focused on broadcasting IPL 2026 Playoffs, which wraps up on May 31. To avoid splitting viewer attention, the platform has pushed the film’s premiere to June 4, 2026, at 7 PM, with full streaming beginning on June 5.
JioHotstar shared the news on social media with the caption: “Aandhi banke jo aa raha hai usse DHURANDHAR kehte hain.”
What did the director say?
Director Aditya Dhar, who also wrote and produced the film, expressed his excitement about the OTT release. He said the film was built on scale, emotion, and raw intensity — and he is looking forward to audiences across India finally experiencing it on JioHotstar from June 4 onward.
