New updates about the biggest Hindi reality show ‘Bigg Boss 19’ are surfacing every day. Initially, it was reported that the show might not return this year. Then, news came in that the promo shoot would take place soon and the show would premiere in July. Now, a major update has revealed that Bigg Boss 19 is all set to create history by becoming the longest-running season ever — it will reportedly run for 5.5 months.
Yes! According to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers are introducing a huge twist this time. Unlike the usual 3-month format, Bigg Boss 19 will run for approximately 5.5 months, making it the longest season in the show’s history. Salman Khan, the fan-favorite host, will return once again, and the season will feature fresh new contestants.
The report also states that the premiere of Salman Khan’s reality show is scheduled for 30th July 2025, and it will remain on air till January 2026. Bhai will shoot the promos for Bigg Boss 19 by the end of June 2025. Interestingly, while the show usually starts around September or October, this year, it will premiere earlier than usual.

Bigg Boss OTT 4 Cancelled
It’s also confirmed that Bigg Boss OTT 4 will not take place this year. Over the last few years, the OTT version of Bigg Boss streamed on platforms like JioCinema for about 1.5 months. However, this time it has been dropped. Earlier in April, there were rumors that Bigg Boss 19 had been cancelled due to Banijay Asia pulling out. But later reports confirmed that Colors TV started looking for a new production house, and the show would move forward once producers were finalised.
