The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is constructing a 201-kilometer cycle track in Delhi. The project will be completed in five phases, with the first two phases targeted for completion by the end of the year. The remaining three phases will be expedited afterward.
In the first phase, a 36-km cycle track will be built, followed by 65 km in the second phase, 46 km in the third, 25 km in the fourth, and 29 km in the fifth. The first phase includes a 30-km route from Sangam Vihar to Malviya Nagar Metro Station. The second phase will cover areas like Rajendra Place, Naraina, Rajendra Nagar, Talkatora Stadium, Buddha Jayanti Park, Delhi Cantonment, Dhaula Kuan, and Vasant Vihar. According to DDA officials, the entire project is expected to be completed within five years, with the first two phases prioritized.
Trees and plants will be planted on both sides of the cycle track, with signboards displaying their names. Information boards will also provide details about birds and other species found in biodiversity parks and surrounding areas. Fallen leaves from trees will be processed for sustainable use.

Separately, NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal conducted a re-inspection of Khan Market, accompanied by senior officials, representatives of the Resident Welfare Association, and the Market Traders Association. The inspection focused on upgrading the market’s infrastructure, enhancing its aesthetics, and ensuring a modern shopping experience. Chahal stated that roads in the market will be upgraded using PU coating and epoxy coating to make them more durable.
