Delhiites planning to buy their own flat should get ready, as the Delhi Lieutenant Governor has launched the ‘Apna Ghar Awas Yojana 2025’ by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Under this scheme, flat bookings will begin on May 27 at 12 PM and continue until August 27, 2025.
Flats under HIG (High-Income Group), MIG (Middle-Income Group), and LIG (Low-Income Group) categories are available for sale on a first come, first served basis. In total, 7,500 flats will be available for booking under this housing scheme. A dedicated chatbot service has also been launched to assist buyers with information and application support.
First Come, First Served – Flat Distribution:
The scheme is based on the first come, first served principle. Key locations and flat availability:
- Sirsapur: 564 LIG flats
- Loknayakpuram: 150 LIG flats
- Additional 95 LIG flats
- Narela: EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG flats in various sectors
Booking Amount for Flats:
- EWS Flats: ₹50,000
- LIG Flats: ₹1,00,000
- MIG Flats: ₹4,00,000
- HIG Flats: ₹10,00,000
A 24/7 chatbot service will help buyers with flat-related queries and the booking process.
Special Discounts on Flats:
According to DDA officials:
- Up to 25% discount on LIG flats in Loknayakpuram, Sirsapur, and Narela
- Up to 15% discount on EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG flats in Narela
- Up to 15% discount on MIG flats in Loknayakpuram

Eligibility Criteria for Booking:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen and at least 18 years old.
- No restriction on owning prior property in Delhi – anyone can apply.
- Must have a valid PAN card and bank account.
- Flat allocation is not lottery-based, but strictly on a first come, first served basis.
