Train Delayed by Over 3 Hours? Claim a Full Refund with This Simple Trick!

If you are planning a journey, traveling by train is a great option. You can choose from different classes, including general coach and AC class, as long as you book a ticket. Tickets can be booked both online and offline. Trains are a comfortable way to travel long distances, offering facilities such as food and toilets.

However, one common issue passengers face is train delays. Some trains run late, while others are even canceled. But did you know that if your train is delayed, you can claim a full refund on your ticket? Let’s understand the rules and process for getting your money back.

    What Does the Rule Say?

According to Indian Railways rules, if a train is delayed by 3 hours or more, passengers can claim a full refund on their ticket. The refund is processed after the passenger files a TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) request. Once the request is approved, the amount is refunded to the passenger’s bank account.
