Thailand to Launch E-Visa Facility for Indians from January 1, 60-Day Exemption to Continue

The Thailand government has announced that Indian passport holders will be able to apply for e-visas starting January 1, 2025. In a statement, the Royal Thai Embassy confirmed that the current 60-day visa exemption for Indian travelers will continue.

“We are excited to share that #Thailand’s e-Visa system will go live in India from January 1, 2025, while the 60-day visa exemption for Indian passport holders remains in place,” the Royal Thai Embassy stated.

The embassy advised non-Thai nationals to apply for all types of visas through the official website https://www.thaievisa.go.th. Applications can be submitted either by the applicants themselves or through representatives.

Visa applications are expected to be processed within 14 working days after payment of the visa fee. Details on offline payment options will be provided by the respective Thai Embassies and Consulate-Generals.

The 60-day visa exemption for Indian passport holders traveling for tourism or short business purposes will remain valid until further notice.
