Now, the third instalments of some of these beloved franchises have been announced, and fans are thrilled. Here’s a look:
Chhorii 3– The horror film Chhorii was released in 2021, followed by Chhorii 2. Both parts were directed by Vishal Furia, with Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role. Now, the third part has also been announced. During an event in Lucknow hosted by Amar Ujala Samvad, both Nushrratt and director Vishal Furia hinted positively at the making of Chhorii 3. Vishal said, “Yes, we’re planning it. We have some ideas in mind.”
Pushpa 3– Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, was a blockbuster hit in 2021. Its sequel, Pushpa 2, released in 2024, was even more successful. Now, the makers are gearing up for Pushpa 3, and the official announcement has already been made. It’s one of the most highly anticipated upcoming films.
Don 3– Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third instalment of the Don franchise. Whenever Farhan Akhtar appears at public events, he is often asked about Don 3. The film has been officially announced, and the cast is almost finalised. However, the release date is yet to be confirmed. Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the lead role in this version.

Hera Pheri 3– This iconic comedy franchise has fans the most excited. The third instalment will bring back Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal together on screen once again. Hera Pheri was released in 2000, followed by Phir Hera Pheri in 2006. Now, the makers are working on Hera Pheri 3, which is being directed by Priyadarshan.
Stree 3– The horror-comedy Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor, was a big hit. When Stree 2 came out last year, it broke several box office records. Now, the makers are planning Stree 3. According to media reports, Akshay Kumar might also be seen in this film. Apart from this, KGF 3 is also among the most awaited third parts in the list.
