Tere Ishk Mein has opened on a strong note at the box office, with early estimates placing its day 1 India net collection at around ₹16.5 crore across all languages. The film’s solid start makes it one of the biggest romantic openings of 2025, driven mainly by the Hindi version with notable support from the dubbed Tamil and Telugu releases. The morning occupancy began on a softer side, but the film picked up remarkably through the day, ending with impressive night-show turnout. Hindi occupancy hovered around 25–26% overall on day 1, showing that the Dhanush–Kriti Sanon pairing pulled in good walk-ins even for a non-holiday release.
Advance booking for day 1 was also a major contributor, with more than 2.4 lakh tickets sold before release and an estimated ₹5.6–5.7 crore already secured from pre-sales. Most of these bookings came from the Hindi belt, while the Tamil version added extra momentum in South markets.
With its ₹16.5 crore opening, Tere Ishk Mein has comfortably gone ahead of films like Jolly LLB 3 and Sitaare Zameen Par, both of which opened in the ₹10–12 crore range. The film still trails behind Saiyaara, which crossed ₹20 crore on day 1, but it has clearly established itself as one of the strongest romantic-drama debuts of the year.
For Dhanush, this marks his biggest Hindi-led opening to date, and the chemistry between him and Kriti Sanon seems to be a major talking point among audiences. Early reactions are positive, suggesting a healthy weekend trend if the word of mouth continues to build.
Worldwide, the film is estimated to have crossed a solid figure on its first day, with strong urban turnout and good contributions from the Gulf markets. With a wide release and growing buzz, Tere Ishk Mein is well-positioned for a strong first weekend as it aims to improve on its already impressive opening numbers.
