Salman Khan’s movie Sikandar was released on March 30 on the occasion of Eid. The film has been performing well at the box office, but compared to Salman Khan’s previous films, its numbers seem lower.
The Film’s Collection Continues to Decline
Salman Khan has often stated that he doesn’t think about ₹100 crore collections anymore; he aims directly for ₹200 crore. However, that doesn’t seem to be happening with Sikandar. While the film had a decent start, its collections are now declining. Given the current trend, even reaching ₹100 crore at the domestic box office appears difficult.
Sikandar Day 4 Box Office Collection
Sikandar opened with ₹30 crore on its first day. The collection saw a significant jump on the second day. According to figures shared by the makers, the film earned ₹33.36 crore on Monday. As for Tuesday, reports from Sacnilk suggest that Sikandar collected ₹19.5 crore on its third day. However, the situation worsened on the fourth day. According to early trends, the film is expected to collect ₹6.52 crore on Wednesday. With this, Sikandar‘s total domestic box office collection stands at ₹81.02 crore.
Strong Performance in the Worldwide Box Office
Despite its struggle domestically, Sikandar is performing well worldwide. The film opened with ₹46 crore globally, and while it initially seemed that the collection might not be impressive, Monday’s earnings surprised everyone. On Eid, Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, earned around ₹59 crore worldwide. On the third day, it collected ₹36 crore. As a result, Sikandar‘s total worldwide collection has reached ₹141.15 crore.
Currently, Sikandar is facing direct competition at the box office from Mohanlal’s Malayalam film L2: Empuraan. Apart from Salman Khan, Sikandar features Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in key roles.
