RRR and KGF Chapter 2 OTT details:
RRR does not have a precise date for streaming on OTT platforms, but rumours suggest that the movie will become available to stream in either June or July.
Netflix and Zee5 have secured the rights for streaming OTT on their streaming platforms. Zee5 will stream the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions, while Netflix will stream the Hindi version on its platform.
On the other hand, KGF Chapter 2 does not have a finalised date for the OTT release. However, sources say that it will mark its beginning on OTT in the last quarter of 2022.
Earlier, rumours were suggesting that Zee5 has acquired the rights for KGF’s sequel. But it turns out in reality that Amazon Prime Video has successfully negotiated a deal with the creators of KGF Chapter 2. The prequel to KGF Chapter 2 is also streaming on Prime Video.
Storylines of both films:
RRR is a story about two revolutionaries named Komaram Bheeem (Jr NTR) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) in the Colonial era. The movie follows their journey from going into oblivion to coming back and waging war against unjust British Colonialists and the Nizam of Hyderabad.
On the other hand, KGF Chapter 2 continues the journey of Rocky (Yash) after his ascension as the leader of Kolar Gold Fields. Garuda’s death has made Rocky’s enemies wary of his increasing power, and they try to somehow sabotage his plans by bringing Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) into the foray. The movie then becomes a life and death battle between Rocky and Adheera to gain control of KGF.
