#Love Release Date on Netflix: Everything to Know

Netflix is adding a fresh romantic comedy to its lineup, and this one comes with a genuinely clever hook. #Love, a new Tamil series starring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das, premieres worldwide on October 2, 2026, and it’s built around a premise that feels genuinely suited to how people date today.

    When and Where to Watch

#Love streams on Netflix starting October 2. The series is available in Tamil, with dubbed versions also releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, giving it a genuinely wide reach right from launch rather than depending on a slow rollout across regional audiences.

    What’s the Story?

At its core, #Love follows Tara and Matthew, two rival dating app founders who’ve built successful businesses helping other people find love, while their own romantic lives remain a mess.

Tara’s app, FOUND, is built around compatibility, working on the idea that a good match comes down to shared values and life goals. Matthew’s platform, Find My Bae, takes the opposite approach, betting entirely on chemistry as the real key to a lasting relationship.

That professional rivalry eventually turns personal when Tara makes Matthew an offer he can’t refuse, kicking off a 60-day compatibility challenge between the two of them.

What starts as a bet slowly turns into something neither of them expected, forcing both Tara and Matthew to actually test their own dating theories in real time. Naturally, things get complicated once professional competition starts blurring into genuine personal emotion.

The show essentially asks one simple, very contemporary question: when it comes to real relationships, does chemistry actually win out over compatibility, or is there more to it than any algorithm can predict?

    The Cast

This marks a genuinely significant career moment for both leads. For Aishwarya Lekshmi, #Love is her major web series debut, and while she’s worked across films and digital-first projects before, this is her first time leading a full-fledged romantic comedy series.

Arjun Das, meanwhile, is stepping into a noticeably different space here. Known for his intense voice and serious on-screen presence, this lighter, romantic-comedy role gives him a chance to show a side of his range audiences haven’t really seen from him before.

    Behind the Scenes

#Love is showrun and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, marking a fresh collaboration with director Balaji Mohan, known for films like Maari.

The series is written by Nirmal Williams, with Sharada Subramanian and Shweta Chakravarty serving as co-writers, and it’s produced under May6 Entertainment Factory.

    Why This Show Feels Different

What sets #Love apart from a fairly standard rom-com premise is how directly it engages with modern dating culture itself.

Rather than treating dating apps as a backdrop, the show puts the mechanics of digital matchmaking, compatibility scores, chemistry tests, and algorithmic matching right at the centre of its story.

According to Netflix’s own description, the series also weaves in themes of friendship, family, ambition, and self-discovery, positioning itself as more of a broader contemporary relationship drama rather than a purely dating-app-focused comedy. That multilingual release strategy is worth noting too.

Even though #Love is originally a Tamil series, the Hindi-dubbed version makes it easily accessible to North Indian audiences without requiring them to follow the original language, reflecting a growing trend of regional OTT content finding genuine national reach across India.

    Should You Watch It?

If you enjoy romantic comedies that lean into something a little more relevant to how people actually date now—swiping, matching, and constantly questioning whether an app can really predict compatibility—#Love looks like a solid pick.

With a fresh pairing in Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das and a premise built around a genuinely fun professional rivalry turning personal, it’s shaping up to be one of the more engaging OTT romances this October.

While you’re planning your October watchlist, there’s more worth tracking too. The Vvaan: Force of the Forest is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 5, giving fans of the folklore fantasy a confirmed date to look forward to as well.

#Love premieres on Netflix on October 2, 2026.
