The Contestants, One by One
Ram Kapoor is the most senior and recognisable name on the list. His run on Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Kasamh Se made him one of Indian television’s most respected actors. He is also known for being candid and unfiltered in interviews, which makes him genuinely unpredictable in a format that thrives on real reactions. He admitted at the show’s launch that his children were worried when they found out he had signed up. That kind of honest anxiety from someone this experienced says something about what the show promises to put contestants through.
Shivangi Joshi comes in with one of the largest pre-existing fan bases in the lineup. Her years on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai turned her into a genuine audience favourite, and her social media following is active and vocal. In a format where public voting matters, that support base is a real strategic advantage. She said she is going in with no preparation and a clear intention to show a side of herself audiences have not seen. Whether that lands depends on how the pressure inside the facility actually affects her.
Sunita Ahuja — known as Govinda’s wife — is one of the more interesting wild cards. She is outspoken, does not hold back in interviews, and has had enough public drama in her personal life recently to bring genuine emotional weight into the house. She ended a seven-year feud with nephew Krushna Abhishek just before entering. That kind of backstory does not stay quiet inside a captive reality format.
Dheeraj Dhoopar has a loyal television fan base from Kundali Bhagya and Naagin. He has always been seen in polished, scripted roles. Lock Upp will be the first time audiences see how he handles real conflict, real pressure, and real people without a character to hide behind.
Harshad Chopda is arguably the strongest TV name in the lineup from a pure fan-following perspective. His devotion from the Yeh Rishta and Bepannah audience is intense and organised — the kind of fanbase that floods social media with support the moment a vote opens. Inside the house, his composed image will be tested.
Madhuri Grover, wife of Shark Tank India star Ashneer Grover, enters with a ready-made public profile but on her own terms. Reality television tends to either build new identities or expose gaps in existing ones. For Madhuri, this is genuinely her moment to be someone other than Ashneer’s wife.
Akanksha Choudhary and Yogesh Rawat both come from Splitsvilla 16, which means they already have a shared history and a built-in audience that will be watching closely to see how that dynamic plays out in a different, more intense format. Akanksha said she is entering specifically to clear her name after allegations from her last show. That kind of stated motivation tends to fuel real confrontations.
Riyaz Aly brings a massive Gen Z following to the show — young, loud, and extremely active online. His audience is different from the television crowd, which could either bring in new viewers or create interesting friction inside the house with contestants from older media backgrounds.
Pamala Serena is perhaps the most genuinely unpredictable name in the lineup. She came to public attention through Netflix’s Desi Bling and has already named Desi Bling co-star Tejasswi Prakash as someone she would rather not see — which suggests she has no interest in managing her image carefully.
Sufi Motiwala is a fashion commentator and social media personality who appeared in The Traitors Season 1. His sharpest tool is his mouth, which in Lock Upp can be both a weapon and a liability.

What Makes This Season Different
The Sach Ya Sazaa theme is doing real work. Hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh have framed it explicitly around confession and consequence — the biggest currency inside the house is truth, and contestants will be forced to choose between revealing secrets and facing punishment for withholding them.
Farah Khan described it plainly: no filters, no retakes, famous people under real pressure. Riteish added that nobody walks out the same.
Netflix’s scale also changes the game. Sach Ya Sazaa will reach viewers across age groups and countries in a way the Alt Balaji original could not. For contestants like Yogesh Rawat, who noted that his previous shows mostly reached younger Indian audiences, that global reach is genuinely new territory.
Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa streams on Netflix from June 27, 2026, at 8 PM, Saturday through Wednesday.
