While the plot of Leo remains shrouded in secrecy, there have been speculations suggesting parallels with the 2005 Hollywood action film, ‘A History of Violence.’ In this narrative, a family man is forced to confront his violent past when an individual from his previous life as a gangster resurfaces.

The film’s soundtrack, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marks his fourth collaboration with Vijay, following their work on “Kaththi” (2014), “Master,” and “Beast.” Additionally, it’s his third collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, having previously worked on “Master” and “Vikram” (2022). Sony Music India secured the music rights for ₹16 crore (US$2.0 million).

Additionally, the overseas theatrical rights have been acquired by Phars Films for ₹60 crore (US$7.5 million).
