Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s most awaited film Kesari 2 has finally hit the theatres. Released on 18th April, the film has already created a buzz and is expected to break records at the box office. Even though it’s just been a day since the theatrical release, details about its OTT release have already started surfacing.
As with most big films, fans are eagerly waiting for Kesari 2 to arrive on OTT platforms. Based on the film’s poster, it’s clear that the digital streaming rights have been acquired by JioCinema. Reports suggest that after its theatrical run, Kesari 2 will stream exclusively on JioCinema.
When Will Kesari 2 Release on OTT?
Typically, a film is released on OTT 45 to 60 days after its theatrical debut. Following the same pattern, the Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday starrer is expected to be available for streaming on JioCinema sometime in June 2025. However, there is no official confirmation from the makers as of now.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi under the banner of Dharma Productions, Kesari 2 reportedly has a budget between ₹100–₹150 crore. The film highlights the lesser-known and unseen side of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, and it has received a positive response from both audiences and critics. It even earned a standing ovation during its special screening.

In Kesari 2, Akshay Kumar plays the role of Advocate C. Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Raj to expose the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. The film also stars Ananya Panday, R. Madhavan, Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, and Alexx O’Nell in key roles.
