I recently watched Kaal Trighori, and I have to say, this movie caught me off guard in the best way possible. If you’re someone who enjoys a good supernatural story mixed with traditional Indian folklore, you’ll want to give this one a shot.
What’s It About?
The film follows three friends who accidentally stumble upon an ancient temple during a trek. What starts as a fun adventure quickly turns dark when they unknowingly disturb something that should have stayed buried. The story weaves together elements of time travel and black magic, which sounds complicated but actually flows quite smoothly.
The Good Stuff
The atmosphere is genuinely creepy. The filmmakers did a great job creating tension without relying too heavily on jump scares. Instead, they build dread slowly, which I personally appreciate. The cinematography captures both the beauty and eeriness of the locations perfectly.
The cast delivers solid performances. The three leads have natural chemistry, making their friendship believable. When things go wrong, you actually care about what happens to them. The supporting actors, especially the village elder who warns them about the temple, add depth to the story.

Where It Falls Short
The pacing drags a bit in the middle. There’s a stretch where the movie seems unsure whether it wants to explain the mythology or keep pushing the plot forward. Some viewers might find the backstory scenes a bit lengthy.
The ending, while interesting, leaves several questions unanswered. I understand wanting to leave room for interpretation, but a few more answers would have been satisfying.
Final Thoughts
Kaal Trighori isn’t perfect, but it’s a worthy watch for fans of supernatural thrillers. It respects Indian mythology while creating something that feels fresh. The movie doesn’t talk down to its audience or over-explain everything, which I respect.
The runtime of just under two hours feels right. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, and despite the slow middle section, I was engaged throughout.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
If you’re tired of formulaic horror movies and want something with a bit more substance, Kaal Trighori delivers. Just be prepared for a slow burn rather than constant thrills. It’s a movie that stays with you after the credits roll, making you think about the choices the characters made and what you would have done differently.
Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you’re watching with friends on a weekend evening.
