With Independence Day just around the corner, airlines are rolling out exclusive ‘Freedom Sale’ offers on both domestic and international airfares to attract passengers.
Vistara is the latest to join the trend, offering discounted rates across all cabin classes:
Domestic One-Way Fares:
- Bagdogra to Dibrugarh – Economy Class: ₹1,578
- Mumbai to Ahmedabad – Premium Economy: ₹2,678
- Mumbai to Ahmedabad – Business Class: ₹9,978
International Return Fares:
- Delhi to Kathmandu – Economy Class: ₹11,978
- Delhi to Kathmandu – Premium Economy: ₹13,978
- Delhi to Kathmandu – Business Class: ₹46,978
To take advantage of these discounts, passengers must book their tickets by 12:00 PM on August 15, 2024, for travel until October 31, 2024. The sale is valid on direct flights for both one-way and return travel in Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class within India.
For international destinations, discounts are available on select routes to Abu Dhabi, Bali, Bangkok, Colombo, Dammam, Dhaka, Dubai, Doha, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Kathmandu, London, Malé, Mauritius, Muscat, Singapore, and Paris.

For domestic flights, the sale fare applies only to base fares, with additional charges such as convenience fees when booked directly through Vistara. International fares are inclusive of these fees.
Earlier this month, Air India Express launched its “Freedom Sale” named ‘Xpress Lite,’ with fares starting at ₹1,947, available exclusively on its website. Bookings were open until August 5, 2024, for travel until September 30, 2024, on both domestic and international routes.
IndiGo also joined the fray with its Happy IndiGo Day Sale from August 5 to August 8, 2024, offering up to 18% off on flights using the code HAPPY18 as part of its 18th anniversary celebrations.
Meanwhile, Akasa Air is offering exclusive flight deals with up to 20% off. Passengers can use the code FLYMORE when booking through their app or website. This offer is valid from August 14, 2024, to August 19, 2024.
