Faraaz Movie Review

Those who have loved Hansal Mehta’s Shahid and Omerta will definitely find Faraaz, a fascinating and interesting movie to watch. Faraaz is a powerful movie that does not waste its time in unnecessary things. The film is so on point that at some points you would feel like needing a breather from all the tension, action and drama unfolding in front of you.

Hansal Mehta sweeps the viewers off their feats by directly introducing them to the hostage scenes and not wasting any time in developing the characters beforehand. Viewers are left to connect with the characters along the lines of story. The film remains crisp throughout its entirety and finishes under 2 hours. It is a great accomplishment for an Indian filmmaker to not giving into the temptation of adding a bit of spice and drama to make the movie a more watchable experience for the general viewers.

Faraaz is not meant for the weak-hearted. The film has some very disturbing gory scenes that will make you look away from the screen. These scenes fit perfectly well in the overall narrative of the movie. There is this peculiar sense that drives the viewers to watch the movie with full attention. You just can’t be relaxed while watching this thriller. This might be a good thing for some viewers while others may find it to be an annoying quality.

The star cast of Faraaz does a top notch job. Hansal Mehta has managed to bring the best out of every cast member. Juhi Babbar, Zahan Kapoor and Aditya Rawal in particular are just excellent to watch.

All in all, Faraaz definitely deserves a watch in the theatres if you are a fan of films that replicate the real life situations with utmost perfection.
