Director Aditya Dhar’s film “Dhurandhar” is still running strong in theatres and is now close to the ₹300 crore mark at the box office. On the other hand, Kapil Sharma’s comedy film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2,” which was released last Friday, has disappointed its makers. In the last two days, the film has managed to collect only ₹4.37 crore. While both films have received appreciation from audiences, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has struggled at the box office in the powerful wave created by Dhurandhar.
Dhurandhar creates a storm at the box office
Released in theatres on 5 December, Dhurandhar has been receiving massive praise from viewers. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has connected deeply with audiences. Despite its long runtime, viewers are not getting bored and are still flocking to cinemas. The film opened with an impressive ₹28 crore on its first day, followed by ₹32 crore on the second day and ₹43 crore on the third day. Within its first week, Dhurandhar had already collected ₹207 crore. On Saturday, the film earned another ₹53 crore at the box office.
The film continues to enjoy strong audience support and has already secured a place among the biggest superhits of the year with a total collection of ₹292 crore. It is now just a few steps away from entering the ₹300 crore club. Trade experts believe that the film could touch ₹350 crore by Sunday. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in lead roles, while performances by Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan have also been highly appreciated. The film is receiving glowing reviews not only from audiences but also from industry insiders and film celebrities.

Did Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 get swept away by Dhurandhar?
Meanwhile, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, released last Friday, has managed to entertain audiences with its comedy. The sequel to Kapil Sharma’s hit film is fun and humorous, but it has failed to make a strong impact at the box office. The film collected ₹1.85 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹2.5 crore on the second day. With a total collection of ₹4.37 crore in two days, the numbers have left the makers disappointed.
Despite positive word of mouth, the film seems to have been overshadowed by the box office storm created by Dhurandhar. Now, hopes are pinned on the weekend performance, especially Sunday, to improve its numbers. It remains to be seen whether Kapil Sharma’s charm can pull audiences to theatres or if Dhurandhar will continue to dominate the box office.
