Aditya Dhar’s multi-starrer film Dhurandhar has truly lived up to its name. After smashing the box office on Day 1, the film continued its powerful run on Day 2 as well. Featuring big stars like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, the movie became the highest-earning opening film of the year. Even on the second day, it maintained its strong momentum.
The hype around Dhurandhar was so high that it earned ₹9.23 crore from advance bookings alone. Made on a massive budget of ₹280 crore, the film was released on 5,000 screens across India. On its opening day, it even surpassed Ahaan Panday and Anit Padda’s Saiyaara. The strong performance of Dhurandhar may also impact the collections of Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishq Mein.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection – Day 2
According to Sacnilk, the film collected ₹27 crore on its opening day. On the first Saturday, which was Day 2, Dhurandhar earned around ₹31 crore. This brings the total to approximately ₹58 crore in just two days. At this pace, the film is expected to join the ₹100-crore club very soon and may recover its budget quickly. The occupancy rate on 6 December was reported to be 39.63%, which is considered quite strong.
Dhurandhar Worldwide Collection
If we look at the worldwide numbers, the film earned around ₹40 crore on Day 1 and about ₹44 crore gross on Day 2. Overseas, the movie collected nearly ₹10 crore, and across India its Day 2 gross collection stood at approximately ₹35 crore.
