Principal photography for the upcoming film commenced on May 22, 2023, in London and at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, under the working title “Tidal Wave.” George Richmond serves as the cinematographer, having previously collaborated with Levy and Reynolds on “Free Guy.” Reynolds had pushed for filming in Vancouver, his hometown, but deferred to Marvel Studios’ established infrastructure. Despite the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike affecting script contributions from Reynolds, filming continued with plans for necessary adjustments during reshoots.
