Code Name: Tiranga Box Office Collection Day 1 is a meagre Rs 15 Lakhs even though the film tickets on the first day were sold at just Rs 100. Parineeti Chopra starrer has failed to grab the eyes of the viewers despite bringing in a fresh concept and one of the best performances by the actress in her career.
It failed to compete with Doctor G which had gone on to earn somewhere between Rs 3 Crores to Rs 3.5 Crores according to Box Office India. The last two films of Parineeti also tanked at the box office. Saina featuring her as the lead could only muster Rs 15 Lakhs on its opening day while Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which also starred Arjun Kapoor could only earn Rs 6 Lakhs on the first day.

Code Name: Tiranga collection for the 1st day is just Rs 15 Lakhs which has come quite as a shock for the producers as the buzz for the movie was average but it has gone to collect much lesser than an average film. The numbers are quite concerning for Parineeti Chopra and her film team.
Before the release, Parineeti had said, “This is a new phase in my life, Parineeti 2.0. This film (Code Name: Tiranga) is part of that phase for me, where I have grown. If the last three films hadn’t worked, if they (people) would have rejected those films then I would have understood that they don’t want to see me do this, but they want to.”
