    Whenever passengers have to travel long distances, they get the train ticket booked well in advance. So that they do not have to get stuck in the waiting ticket. But even after getting a confirmed train ticket in the train, the journey has to be cancelled due to many reasons.     Ticket can be transferred to someone else’s name

    If for some reason you also do not want to travel on your confirmed train ticket (Confirm Train Ticket), then you can transfer your ticket to someone else’s name. But there are some rules for this. Which are necessary to follow. By doing this, the passenger (Transfer Confirm Train Ticket) will not have to pay the cancellation charge.

    To whom can the ticket be transferred?

    Any person can transfer his railway confirmed ticket only in the name of his family members. Family members include husband-wife, parents, siblings, but tickets cannot be transferred to mother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle or maternal uncle’s children, wife’s siblings.

    • Ticket can be transferred only once.
    • To transfer the ticket, it is necessary that your ticket is confirmed.
    • If it is a waiting or RAC ticket, it cannot be transferred.
    • Apart from this, the name should be changed about 24 hours before the start of the journey.
    • To change the name in the ticket, it is necessary to go to the reservation counter only. Whether the passenger has bought the ticket online or offline. For this, you will have to take a print out of the ticket. Also, a photocopy of the identity card of the person in whose name the ticket is to be transferred will also have to be submitted.
