Meg 2: The Trench Plot
The Meg 2’s plot follows the lead character Jonas Taylor, played by Statham, as he once again leads a team to explore the ocean’s terrors. After the events of The Meg, where it was suggested that more than two megalodons had escaped the trench, the new footage confirms that three sharks indeed escaped and are wreaking havoc. In addition to the megalodons, the film will also feature other prehistoric creatures, such as the Kronosaurus, from the source material, Steve Alten’s 1999 novel The Trench.
