Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black is back with a third season that wastes absolutely no time raising the stakes. The Bellarie family remains surrounded by enemies, secrets, and power struggles, while Kimmie finds herself pulled deeper into a world she once knew almost nothing about.
Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix, continuing the story as several characters face the real consequences of their actions. Some end up behind bars, some are fighting to hold onto their power, and others are chasing revenge. The result is a season packed with sudden turns and genuinely emotional confrontations.
Kimmie’s journey remains one of the more interesting threads this season. After marrying Horace, she is no longer just an outsider trying to survive. She has become part of the Bellarie empire and is gaining real influence within the Beauty in Black business.
That power comes at a price, though. Kimmie starts making darker choices to protect the life she has built. Her relationship with Horace stays confusing too, since she can never quite tell whether he sees her as his wife, his protégé, or someone he could easily replace.
Taylor Polidore Williams gives Kimmie a much stronger presence this season. Her character is no longer just reacting to events happening around her. She is learning to actually play the dangerous game she has found herself in.
Jules is one of the biggest reasons Season 3 gets so intense. After escaping custody, he sets out to uncover the truth about his son Glen’s death.
His search quickly turns into a revenge mission. Jules leans on Gina and her criminal connections to make his move against the Bellaries and Rain’s world, a decision that eventually leads to the shocking attack on Make It Rain.
The shootout in the finale is easily one of the season’s biggest moments. The club turns into a full battlefield, with Kimmie and Mallory caught right in the middle of the violence.
The long-running conflict between Horace and Norman finally reaches a breaking point. Their problems were never really just about business or money. Years of resentment, betrayal, and family pain have twisted their relationship into something genuinely toxic.
Mallory also finds herself forced into a terrible decision when Norman comes looking for revenge. She shoots him and leaves him badly wounded, but Norman manages to fight back once Horace shows up, shooting his own brother.
The finale wisely leaves both their futures hanging. That cliffhanger alone is likely to keep viewers talking and wondering who actually survives.

Not every storyline this season centres on crime and revenge. Charles goes through a much more emotional journey.
After killing several men who tried to rob him, Charles struggles to process the consequences. Things get even worse once his mother, Olivia, ends up jailed and Mallory refuses to help him.
He eventually hits a genuinely dark point and attempts to take his own life. Varney arrives just in time to save him, giving their complicated relationship a new direction.
Varney tells Charles they cannot move forward unless he gets professional help for the emotional pain he is carrying. Their goodbye kiss outside the rehabilitation facility gives this storyline a more hopeful note to end on.
Season 3 also spends more time exploring Horace’s complicated connection with Angel. Kimmie has already picked up on Horace’s interest in him, and Charles slowly starts to understand that some of his father’s anger might stem from his own struggles with his sexuality.
Angel later stays by Horace’s side after the shooting, hinting that their connection runs deeper than Horace is willing to openly admit. At the same time, the relationship stays genuinely troubling given Horace’s controlling and violent nature.

Beauty in Black Season 3 delivers exactly what fans of Tyler Perry’s drama are probably looking for: shocking betrayals, family fights, dangerous criminals, and plenty of cliffhangers. The finale in particular ramps up the tension and leaves several major questions hanging.
That said, the season can feel a bit crowded, given how many characters are each juggling their own problems and secrets. Still, the constant twists make it genuinely hard to stop watching once the story gets moving.
Overall, Beauty in Black Season 3 is a dramatic, addictive watch, especially for viewers who enjoy messy family rivalries, crime, and unexpected turns.
