Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun-starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ shows no signs of slowing down. Even in the cold weather, the film has firmly cemented its position at the box office and is not allowing any other release to come close. Its earnings are rising steadily every day, raising expectations that it could enter the ₹1,000 crore club by this weekend. On its 17th day, the film continued its dominant run, while James Cameron’s ‘Avatar 3’ witnessed empty theatres for many of its shows.
Made on a budget of ₹280 crore, Dhurandhar crossed the ₹500 crore mark by its third Saturday itself. On Day 16, the film earned ₹34 crore, which was 52.22% higher than its Day 15 collection. With this, its India net collection reached ₹517.25 crore, while the worldwide total stood at ₹790.75 crore. In comparison, Avatar 3 managed only ₹22 crore on its second day (first Saturday).
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection – Day 17
According to Sacnilk, on Day 17 (third Sunday), Aditya Dhar’s film collected approximately ₹38.50 crore, showing a 12.41% increase over Day 16. However, the film’s highest single-day collection remains ₹58 crore, which it earned on the second Sunday. On 21 December, with an impressive 63.94% occupancy, the duo of Hamza and Rehman Daku continued to outperform other films. The film’s total India net collection has now reached ₹555.75 crore.

Dhurandhar Worldwide Collection – Day 17
By Day 17, Dhurandhar recorded an India net collection of ₹555.75 crore. Its worldwide earnings have reached ₹847.25 crore, with overseas collections at ₹180.50 crore. The film’s India gross collection stands at ₹666.75 crore.
Avatar 3 Beats Dhurandhar in Worldwide Collections
Although Avatar 3 has been in theatres for just three days and is available in six languages, it has still not crossed ₹100 crore in India. The film earned ₹19 crore on Day 1 and ₹22 crore on Day 2. Its India net collection stood at ₹41.25 crore, while its worldwide collection touched ₹1,250 crore, which is higher than Dhurandhar’s worldwide total so far. However, the film is struggling in the Indian market.
Avatar 3 Box Office Collection – Day 3
As per Sacnilk, Avatar 3 collected ₹25 crore on Day 3 (first Sunday). While this is higher than its previous two days, it remains far behind Dhurandhar. The film’s total India net collection now stands at ₹67.25 crore. Occupancy levels were 45.96% in English and 52.12% in Hindi. So far, the film has earned ₹29.6 crore in English, ₹20.4 crore in Hindi, ₹7.9 crore in Telugu, ₹9.03 crore in Tamil, ₹0.25 crore in Kannada, and ₹0.07 crore in Malayalam.
Avatar 3 Worldwide Collection – Day 3
The film’s worldwide collection has soared to ₹3,100 crore, with overseas earnings of ₹2,300 crore. In India, the film’s net collection stands at ₹67.25 crore, while the gross collection is ₹82 crore. In short, while Avatar 3 is struggling to outperform Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar in India, it continues to dominate the global box office.
