Digital Rights Price
Amazon Prime Video has reportedly purchased the digital streaming rights for around ₹125 crore. This makes it the second most expensive OTT deal for a Kannada film, following KGF Chapter 2. Storyline and Highlights
Kantara Chapter 1 is set in the 4th century during the Kadamba dynasty, in the ancient forests of Karnataka. The movie beautifully blends tribal traditions, folklore, divine worship, and nature conservation. The central conflict revolves around the characters Barme (Rishab Shetty) and Kulasekhara (Gulshan Devaiah), whose power struggle is influenced by divine forces.
