I recently finished watching “Genie, Make a Wish,” and I wanted to share my honest thoughts about this Korean drama series. If you’re wondering whether to add it to your watchlist, here’s what I found.
What’s It About?
The show follows a college student who discovers a magical genie living in a lamp. Unlike typical genie stories where wishes solve everything instantly, this series takes a different approach. The genie can only grant small wishes, which creates some really interesting situations. The main character learns that fixing life’s problems isn’t about magic—it’s about making better choices.
What I Liked
The chemistry between the leads feels natural and genuine. You can tell the actors enjoyed working together, which makes their scenes fun to watch. I appreciated how the show balances lighthearted moments with deeper emotional beats. One minute you’re laughing, the next you’re thinking about your own life decisions.
The pacing works well too. Each episode runs about an hour, and I never felt bored. The writers knew how to end episodes at just the right moment to keep me wanting more.
