Andaaz 2 Movie Review: A Fresh Take on Classic Romance

    Andaaz 2

    Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

Suneel Darshan returns with Andaaz 2, bringing back the magic of romantic Bollywood cinema that many of us have been missing. After 22 years since the original Andaaz, this sequel hits theaters on August 8, 2025, and honestly, it’s a pleasant surprise.

    What Works Really Well

The biggest strength of Andaaz 2 is its fresh cast. Aayush Kumar shows real promise as the male lead, bringing natural charm without trying too hard. Akaisha delivers emotional scenes beautifully, while Natasha Fernandez adds the right amount of drama to complete the love triangle. These newcomers don’t feel like typical Bollywood debutants – they actually act like real people.

The music by Nadeem is absolutely wonderful. All 8 songs fit perfectly into the story, and trust me, you’ll be humming them on your way home. Sameer’s lyrics hit the right emotional notes, and Raju Khan’s choreography keeps things elegant without going overboard.

    The Story That Connects

Director Suneel Darshan knows how to tell love stories that feel genuine. The triangular romance unfolds naturally, without forcing dramatic twists every few minutes. The film takes its time to build relationships, which feels refreshing in today’s fast-paced cinema world.

The movie stays true to family entertainment values while addressing modern relationship dynamics. Parents can watch this with their teenagers without any awkward moments, which is rare these days.

    Minor Issues

The 148-minute runtime could have been trimmed by 15-20 minutes. Some emotional scenes stretch a bit too long, and the second half slows down slightly before picking up again.

The film sometimes feels predictable if you’ve watched many Bollywood romantic films, but the sincere performances make up for familiar plot points.

    Final Thoughts

Andaaz 2 reminds us why simple, heartfelt stories work so well. It’s not trying to be the biggest blockbuster of the year, and that’s perfectly fine. Sometimes we just need a good old-fashioned love story with great music and genuine emotions.

If you enjoy romantic films and miss the charm of early 2000s Bollywood, this movie will definitely make you smile. It’s a solid choice for family movie nights and date evenings alike.
