2024 was a fantastic year for Bollywood, with many popular web series winning the hearts of viewers. Shows like Panchayat Season 3, Mismatched Season 3, Heeramandi, Murder in Mahim, Karmma Calling and Call Me Bae were released and became big hits. The year 2025 also has some exciting web series lined up for release. These include Paatal Lok Season 2, The Family Man Season 3, Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, and many more.
Paatal Lok Season 2
The makers of Paatal Lok have announced the second season of the popular show. Starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Gul Panag, the new season will release on 17th January 2025 on Amazon Prime Video.
The Family Man Season 3
The Family Man is one of the most loved web series. The third season, featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, and Sharib Hashmi, is expected to stream in 2025. Manoj Bajpayee has revealed that filming for the season is complete. He hinted that the series might release around Diwali 2025 after post-production work is finished.
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut
Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, will make his directorial debut with an untitled series in 2025. The show will be produced by Gauri Khan and created and directed by Aryan Khan. Netflix has teamed up with Red Chillies Entertainment for this special Bollywood project.
The Roshans
The Roshans is a docu-series featuring Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan. It will take viewers through the struggles and successes of the Roshan family. The series will be available on Netflix from 17th January 2025.
Delhi Crime Season 3
The first two seasons of Delhi Crime were highly praised by fans. The third season, led by Shefali Shah, is expected to release in mid-2025. Reports suggest the season will focus on human trafficking and may be released in two parts. The cast includes Shefali Shah, Rasika Duggal, and Huma Qureshi.
Black Warrant
Black Warrant is an upcoming series directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. It marks the debut of Zahan Kapoor, grandson of Shashi Kapoor. The show will be released on Netflix on 10th January 2025. It will also feature Paramvir Singh Cheema, Anurag Thakur, and Sidhant Gupta. The story highlights the harsh realities of Tihar Jail, one of India’s most notorious prisons.
The Trial Season 2
Kajol’s legal drama, The Trial, which premiered in 2023, is expected to return for its second season. In October 2024, behind-the-scenes photos showed Kajol in a lawyer’s outfit filming the new season along with veteran actor Asrani. The release date is yet to be announced.
Dabba Cartel
Dabba Cartel has a big star cast including Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Farhan Akhtar, Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Anand, Gajraj Rao, Sai Tamhankar, Lillete Dubey, and Jisshu Sengupta. Announced in February 2024, the series was expected to release this year but has been pushed to 2025.
Matka King
Matka King is based on a cotton reader in Mumbai who creates a new gambling game called Matka. Vijay Varma plays the lead role along with Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, and Gulshan Grover. The series is likely to release on Amazon Prime Video in 2025.
