    Maintaining a healthy heart is crucial for overall well-being. You don’t always need complex tests like ECGs (Electrocardiograms) or Echo tests to gauge your heart’s health. Here’s a simple guide to help you check your heart’s condition at home.

    1. Monitor Your Heart Rate

    You can check your heart rate by simply feeling your pulse. Place your fingers on your wrist or neck and count the beats for 60 seconds. A normal resting heart rate for adults is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. If your heart rate is consistently outside this range, it may be worth consulting a doctor.

    2. Check Your Blood Pressure

    Regularly measuring your blood pressure at home can help you keep track of your heart health. Use a blood pressure monitor, which is widely available at pharmacies. Normal blood pressure is typically around 120/80 mmHg. High or low readings might indicate potential heart issues.

    3. Observe Your Breathing

    Pay attention to your breathing. If you notice that you often feel short of breath or experience irregular breathing patterns, it might be a sign of heart trouble. Try to keep track of any unusual symptoms and discuss them with a healthcare professional if they persist.

    4. Look for Swelling

    While checking your heart health at home is helpful, maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle is equally important. Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, avoid smoking, and manage stress. These habits can significantly improve your heart health.
