In the quaint town of Ratodi, Uttar Pradesh, a peculiar curse haunts the men. The ghost of a dwarf clown named Kakuda preys on them every Tuesday at 7:15 PM. Their only escape? Leaving a small window-like door open in their homes. Failure to comply results in a hunchback and death within 13 days.
Sunny (Saqib Saleem) and his father have managed to avoid Kakuda’s curse—until an ill-fated Tuesday changes everything. Sunny falls victim to the curse, and his impending doom forces his bride-to-be, Indira (Sonakshi Sinha), to seek help. She enlists the aid of a quirky ghost hunter named Victor (Riteish Deshmukh).

Director Aditya Sarpotdar’s Kakuda ventures into absurdity, but unfortunately, it loses its way. The plot lacks coherence, and the execution fails to evoke genuine fear. While Kakuda’s appearance carries an eerie mystery, the characters’ reactions remain confusing. The humor feels forced, and the comedy falls flat.
Despite its flaws, Kakuda uses folklore effectively to create a sense of dread. The performances, especially by Sonakshi Sinha, are commendable. However, the film struggles with ineffective horror, subpar visual effects, and an unsatisfying climax.
In the end, Kakuda is neither funny nor scary—it’s a perplexing blend that leaves viewers scratching their heads.
