Old Guy is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Simon West and written by Greg Johnson. Produced by Highland Film Group and Dark Castle Entertainment, the film stars Christoph Waltz, Lucy Liu, Cooper Hoffman, and Desmond Eastwood.
Old Guy Release Date
In January 2023, it was announced that Highland Film Group would co-finance the film, with Jib Polhemus and Martin Brennan producing, and Hal Sadoff and Norman Golightly producing for Dark Castle Entertainment. Christoph Waltz also joined the cast at this time. In April 2023, Lucy Liu, Cooper Hoffman, and Desmond Eastwood were added to the cast. Principal photography began in Belfast in spring 2023. Old Guy is scheduled to be released in the United States by The Avenue on September 30, 2024.

Old Guy Plot
Contract killer Danny Dolinski still believes he’s the best in the business. Stuck in a rut but eager to win the heart of club manager Anata, Danny is excited when The Company calls him back into action. However, his new assignment is to train Wihlborg, a Gen Z prodigy assassin with an attitude.
The mismatched duo is tasked with eliminating top members of a rival crime syndicate, only to discover their employer’s true agenda: a complete takeover by ousting the old guard. The Company didn’t foresee that Danny’s experience and Wihlborg’s brilliance would forge an unlikely bond. With crucial help from Anata, they turn the tables on The Company.
