Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Bobby Deol and the others has started to stream on Netflix and the film is generating even more polarising views than when it was released in the theatres. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has said that he will go a step further in the Animal Park, which is the planned second installment of the film. This is the original film which inspired Kabir Singh. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has also directed this. The film is definitely very similar to Animal.

Amrita, a young woman, enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband, Vikram. Yet, their bliss is shattered when he strikes her at an office gathering, prompting her to initiate divorce proceedings. Thappad is a thought provoking film that talks about male privilege in a relationship. The film has many similarities to Vanga’s Animal.

Sanjay Dutt, a Bollywood actor, grapples with the weight of his family’s legacy, navigating personal struggles and vices along the way. Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju was criticised for its portrayal of women in the society. Also, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, who is the lead of Animal as well.
5. Pyar Ka Punchnama 2
Anshul, Siddharth, and Tarun all find themselves entangled in love with different women simultaneously. Yet, as their relationships sour, they are confronted with the harsh realities of love’s darker side. This movie just does not treat women fairly and shows them as toxic. Therefore, in some regards, Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 is like Animal.
6. Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya
Three housewives, discontented with their spouses’ modest incomes, decide to pursue employment outside the home. However, they encounter vehement opposition from their husbands, who spare no effort to thwart their ambitions. If you love and admire Appu Khote in this film then there might be something wrong with you. Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’s toxic masculinity is like Animal.

7. Housefull Series
The Indian comedy film series Housefull features Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh in leading roles across all installments. The initial two films, Housefull and Housefull 2, were helmed by director Sajid Khan. The movie uses female characters as only eye-candy. So, if you thought Animal was kind of misogynistic then you should try watching Housefull.

10. Vaastav
Raghu, a simple-minded individual, and his closest companion opt to open a food stall to overcome their unemployment woes. Yet, Raghu’s world is forever altered when an accidental incident leads to the death of one of their patrons. Last but not the least, Vaastav is one of the OG gangster movies of Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt was phenomenal like Ranbir Kapoor is in Animal. Definitely, a must watch movie.
