Salman Khan’s film Sikandar is failing to impress the audience. Since its release, the film has seen a significant drop in earnings. Compared to Salman’s previous films, such a low collection in the first week was not observed before. It even took Sikandar seven days to cross the ₹100 crore mark.
Talking about Monday’s collection, the Salman Khan starrer managed to earn only ₹1.75 crore on its 9th day in India. The film, which was released on March 30, earned ₹26 crore on its opening day. On the second day, it benefited from the Eid holiday and collected ₹29 crore. However, after that, the earnings have been consistently dropping. So far, the film has collected a total of ₹104.25 crore, according to a report by Sacnilk.

Fans had been eagerly waiting to see Salman Khan in an action entertainer, so expectations from Sikandar were quite high. The film was directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who is known for directing Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. Rashmika Mandanna played the lead actress, while supporting roles were played by actors like Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi. Despite this strong lineup, the weak storyline and performances failed to impress both audiences and critics. Kajal Aggarwal also played an important role in the movie.
Reports suggest that after seeing the mixed reactions to Sikandar, Salman Khan met some of his fans to discuss the film and assured them that he would be more careful in choosing his projects in the future.
